Who we are

Market Research India is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here. That means we decide why and how your data is processed, and we are the people answerable for it.

Field teams across 50 Indian cities, so we publish no single postal address — the contact routes below all reach the same team.

What this policy covers

This policy covers the personal data you give us through marketresearchindia.com: the proposal popup, the inline quote form on service, city and industry pages, and the chat assistant in the corner of the screen. It also covers the analytics cookie we set only if you allow it.

It does not cover the separate consent, confidentiality and participant-information terms agreed for a specific research project. If you are taking part in a study as a respondent, the notice you were given at the start of that study governs it.

The personal data we collect

We ask for as little as we can, and only ever what you type in yourself. There is no hidden collection, no tracking pixel from an advertiser and no profiling.

What each form collects

Name
Required, so we know who we are replying to.
Phone number
Required, so a researcher can call you back.
Email address
Optional in the popup and the chat; used to send the proposal.
Company
Optional. Helps us understand the sector and scope the work.
Your enquiry
The free text you type about what you need researched. Please do not include sensitive personal details here — we never need them to quote.
Record of your consent
The date and time you ticked the box, together with the exact wording you agreed to. Sent with the enquiry so we can evidence that consent was given.
Analytics data (only if you allow it)
Pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser, collected by Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation switched on. Nothing is collected until you accept.

All three forms collect the same fields. The chat assistant is a scripted form, not an AI: it asks one question at a time, the transcript lives only in your browser's memory, and it is dropped the moment you close the panel.

The site also stores two small technical values in your own browser: a timestamp used to stop the same form being submitted repeatedly, and a flag recording your cookie choice. Neither contains personal data and neither is sent to us.

Why we process it

We process your data for the purpose you gave it to us for, and nothing else:

  • Replying to the enquiry you sent us
  • Asking the follow-up questions needed to understand your brief
  • Preparing and sending you a scoped proposal or quote
  • Business communication about that enquiry and any project that follows
  • Keeping a record that you consented, as the law requires
  • Understanding which pages of this site are useful, if you allow analytics

We do not sell personal data, we do not share it for advertising, we build no advertising profiles, and no decision about you is made by automated means.

Your rights as a Data Principal

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you — the Data Principal — have the following rights over your personal data:

  • Right to access

Ask us what personal data of yours we hold, what we are doing with it, and who we have shared it with.

  • Right to correction and completion

Ask us to correct anything inaccurate, complete anything partial, or update anything out of date.

  • Right to erasure

Ask us to delete your data. We will, unless we are required by law to keep a record of it.

  • Right to grievance redressal

Raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer about how we have handled your data, and get an answer.

  • Right to nominate

Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapacitated.

  • Right to withdraw consent

Change your mind at any time, as easily as you gave consent in the first place.

To exercise any of them, email [email protected] or our Grievance Officer at [email protected]. Please include enough detail for us to find your enquiry — the name, phone number or email address you used, and roughly when you contacted us. We may need to check that the request really comes from you before we act on it, and we aim to respond within 30 days.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookie of its own. The only cookies that can appear are Google Analytics 4 cookies, and only after you press Accept on the banner. Decline, and the analytics script is never loaded and no analytics cookie is ever written.

When you do accept, we run Google Analytics with IP anonymisation on and with Google Consent Mode set to deny advertising storage, advertising personalisation and advertising user data. We use it to count visits and see which pages help, not to identify you.

Your analytics cookie choice

Checking your current choice…

Declining or withdrawing switches analytics off straight away and expires any Google Analytics cookie already in this browser.

Who else sees your data

We keep the list of people who touch your data short, and we are specific about it rather than hiding behind "trusted partners":

Recipients and processors

Lead-capture platform
Every enquiry form on this site posts over an encrypted connection to io.irpr.network, a third-party service that holds enquiries for us until a researcher picks them up. It processes the data on our instructions.
Google Analytics
Only if you accept analytics cookies. Google then processes that usage data, which can involve servers outside India.
Website hosting
These pages are static files served by a hosting provider, which may keep standard access logs including IP addresses.
Email and phone
Our email and telephony providers carry the reply we send you.
Legal obligations
We may disclose data where a law, a court or a lawful authority requires it. Nothing is sold, rented or shared for advertising.

Some of these providers operate infrastructure outside India, so your data may be processed outside the country. The DPDP Act permits this except to territories the Central Government restricts, and we will stop using any provider that falls within such a restriction.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry only as long as it is needed for the purpose you gave it for. Once that purpose is served, or once you withdraw consent, the record is deleted.

As a working rule, enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within 24 months of the last contact with you. If you ask us to delete yours sooner, we will.

Children's data

This website is aimed at businesses, not children, and we do not knowingly collect the personal data of anyone under 18. We do not process a child's data without verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian, and we never track, profile or target advertising at children.

If you believe a child has given us personal data through this site, email [email protected] and we will delete it.

How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS, and every form submission travels to our lead-capture platform over an encrypted connection. Access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it to reply to you, our researchers work under confidentiality obligations, and we do not copy enquiry data into tools that do not need it.

We make no certification claim here. No safeguard is perfect: if a breach ever affects your data, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when what we do changes, or when the law does. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and we will make a material change clear rather than slipping it in quietly. Please check back from time to time.

Questions and grievances

If something about the way we handle your data concerns you, tell us first — it is usually the quickest way to get it fixed.

Contact our Grievance Officer

Email [email protected] with "Grievance" in the subject line, or call +91 96731 98867. Tell us what happened and what you would like us to do. We aim to respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you have the right to complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

For anything that is not about privacy, the contact page is the better route.
